Can anyone use your facilities?
No, we only allow those who book onto the site to use our facilities, this is to protect our customers, especially during the current pandemic.
Can I show to the site without a booking?
We actively encourage booking for a space on the site as we do have limited space and a maximum number of persons. There are times when we may be able to fit you on site if not booked but this can be rare and would advise to drop a message beforehand.
What facilities are included in the price?
We have modern toilets and showers that can be used by anyone who has booked to stay on site. For those staying in the bell tent the use of a fire pit and fire wood is free, for those in tent pitches we have large bags of fire wood for sale for £5 and can hire out the fire pits if available.

What are the check in/check out times?
You are able to arrive on site any time after 2pm and we ask that you leave the site no later than 12pm.
Where are we?
The postcode for Loch Doon is KA6 7QE, when entering the loch continue to drive for around 7 miles and you will see a castle of ruins on the right hand side. We are around 300m after this on the left hand side. We have large bell tents on site that you cannot miss but we will have signs up shortly also.
Are dogs allowed on site?
Dogs are allowed on site but we do have a wild goose, wild sheep and the chance of other dogs so do ask that they are behaved.
What are the site rules?
We want our customers to have a relaxing and peaceful stay therefore we do not cater for large parties or events and ask the smaller groups to be mindful of other families on site. This involves keeping music to an appropriate volume, using bins provided, ensuring animals are well behaved and cleaned after etc. Extreme misbehaviours may result in you being asked to leave the site.
How do I book?
You can book your stay on our book online section. There is a calendar to view that shows availability per tent size. To book, select the desired date/tent size and fill in our booking form, we will then collect your full payment and you will receive a confirmation email. For bookings of multiple dates, you will have to book each day separately.
I need to cancel my booking, how do I do this?
We understand that life happens and you may need to cancel or reschedule your booking. Please get in touch at least 48 hours (2 days) before your booking begins to either cancel for a full refund or reschedule your date. If you let us know within 2 days of your start date we can only offer a reschedule unfortunately.
How do I hire the activities?
At the moment we are just finding our feet with the business and have various activities on the site. You can enquire and pay for these on site, again as a start up business our activity prices are very competitive and will not cost an arm and a leg.
Can caravans or camper vans be brought on site?
At the moment we don't accommodate caravans, campers or tents attached to vehicles but this is something we will be hoping to accommodate in the future. Our site is predominantly grass just for pitches at the moment with a small car park less than 10 metres away to house your vehicle overnight.
Is there an electric hook up?
At the moment we don't have any electric hook ups, this is something we will be looking into in the future.
